Moonlite Accounts was first established over 30 years ago supplying accounting needs to the Essex and London area, since then we have grown to cover most southern and eastern counties.

When it is time to prepare your accounts, we write, telephone or email to notify you that it is due, you then simply reply back to us with a time and date to make an appointment.

In some cases a physical appointment may not be needed, for example:

You may wish to post all required items to prepare your accounts.
(It is still advised to telephone us to discuss any questions relevant to your accounts before you do so)
You may need to complete a set of accounts based purely on figures you have already obtained.
(Through a separate book keeper as an example)

An initial deposit is required on your first appointment, or upon receiving your items to prepare your accounts.

At which time we will then use any information you supply to us to prepare your accounts, this information will range from Purchase / Sales invoices, receipts, bank statements and any other item relevant to your accounts.
(All information needed to complete your accounts will be discussed with you on our initial appointment)

The deposit which is required to be paid on your first appointment is usually half the full cost.
(This cost will be worked out on your first appointment based on the level of work required)

Once your accounts are complete will we then contact you again to let you know they are ready, and on your second appointment, you will be able to see if it meets your satisfaction.
Once this is agreed then the remainder of the balance is required to be paid.

We usually work on a four week turnaround but do offer a faster service to those who are perhaps running late with preparing their accounts.
(In these cases, it is important to remember that a full payment is required initially)

Bookkeeping is the process of recording and classifying business financial transactions (activities).
In simple language-maintaining the records of the financial activities of a business or an individual.

Depending on the amount of book keeping required, we ask that you send all your items to us, on either a monthly, or quarterly basis, along with a cheque.
In some circumstances you may wish to pay for the booking keeping services a year in advance, then it is a case of just making sure you send the work to us as described.

We provide Single Entry Bookkeeping for Tax and VAT purposes only, we do not deal with double entry bookkeeping.

We can provide PAYE and Payroll Services to any Self Employed or Small Business who currently have under 100 employees.

Whether your employees are paid weekly, fortnightly, monthly or yearly. Whether your employees are on a fixed gross paye or based on an hourly rate.

The cost is based on the number of employees, the method in which salary is paid (i.e weekly, monthly), admin costs as well as end of year preparation and submissions.
The more employees you have, the cheaper the base rate will be.

We process all pay slips and send them to you within the time specified by you, as well as notify you of any Tax payments due each month.
At the end of the year, we deal with all employee P60 submissions, so you dont have to worry.

We also deal with submissions of P45's, P46's which is at no extra cost.

If you are a sub contractor and need an accountant to deal with your CIS payments, then we can help. In some situations you may pay tax on CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) as well as self employment. We calculate how much tax you have paid, and how much you owe, or in deed, how much refund you need to get back. Other situations may apply.

If at the end of any month your total turnover in the past 12 months or less has exceeded £54,000, (Turnover includes fees, sales and reimbursed expenses) Or if at any time there are reasonable grounds for believing that your turnover in the next 30 days will exceed £54,000, then you are required to become VAT registered.

If you feel keeping track of your inputs and outputs is to much to cope with while maintaining your business, then we can provide a service for you.
